Finca Don Diego was established in 1996 premised on the idea of making premium wines from its own vineyards located at the foot of the Andes Mountains 1, 505 meters above sea level, in Fiambal? Catamarca.
A unique environment and climate plus the most valuable asset of a noble and enthusiastic group of people were the reasons underlying our choice. A perfect site for wine growing. A dream come true, lived and enjoyed day after day, year after year.
We have just acquired a linear bottling plant designed by Fast mechanized.
Finca Don Diego is committed to making one of the best wines in Argentina, which is why we have added state-of-the-art technology.
Don Diego Malbec: This wine has a complex aroma derived from its 6 moth aging in French oakbarrels. Its great structure an tannin concentration make this garnet red wine special to mach deer and lama meat
Don Diego Shirah Purple red, fruitful, concentrate, rich and deep. Delicate finish.
Don Diego Shirah Oak Intense ruby red. This wine has a sweet and acid start with a touch of ripe fruit and a hint of coffee. 6-month aging in barrels, 50% of French oak and 50% of American oak. Well-balanced finish in mouth.
Don Diego Cabernet Sauvignon Purple red, intense and bright. Structured, rich and mentholated. Complex and without astringency. 6-month aging in barrels, 50% of French oak and 50% of American oak. Long finish, mild and strong at the same time.
Don Diego Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon Intense red, with violet reflections. Intense fruity aroma. Gentle, sweet and acid start. Well-balanced tannins and persistent spicy finish.
Don Diego Shirah Reserve Intense red. Coffee and ripe fruit aroma. In the mouth, it is persistent, rich and well-balanced. 12-month aging in barrels, 50% of French oak and 50% of American oak. The absence of filtering makes this wine the best expression of a Shirah.
