Digital Tilt Sensor for car alarms

The Guardial DTS is a modern vehicle security system detector, sensing car and motorcycle body inclination change:
- at the car it detects both the attempt of car theft, by detecting towing of a car and detects the attempt of wheel stealing, by detecting the lifting of a car.
- at the motorcycle, the DTS detects the change of motorcycle pitch and roll during attempt of theft.
The basic principle of the device operation is measurement of gravitation force decomposition onto two perpendicular axes in a single plane by maintenance free accelerometer sensor manufactured in mems technology. By changing the car body spatial position, the decomposition of gravitation force on both sensor axes changes, thus giving the desired information. The sophisticated vehicle body inclination supervising algorithm is implemented in detector micro controller. Due to universal interface, the detector can be integrated with almost any vehicle security systems, protecting the car or motorcycle.

- horizontal direction independent sensitivity - the detector parameters are obtained if the detector is placed up to 45deg vertically against any direction on horizontal plane.
The lack of regulation, easy installation and high sensitivity make the Guardial DTS a reliable device to detect car inclination change.
Installation/mounting suggestions/the Guardial DTS detector should be installed in central part of car body, up to 40deg against horizontal plane. The direction in horizontal plane does not affect sensitivity of the detector.
If the detector was integrated with vehicle security system, the white cable/ignition input/should be cut and should be left unconnected. In case of integration with vehicle tracking system, the white cable should be connected to circuits with voltage present after turning on the ignition.
The device does not require any regulation and its sensitivity is factory programmed to detect inclination larger than 1.5deg.
The detector starts to work in 60 seconds after power on. In case of continuous power-on state, the inclination monitoring starts after 60 seconds from turning off the ignition.
During these 60 seconds, the sensor calibration procedure is executed and the stationary car spatial position is being recognised.
