G-SCADA - Smarter RFID Sensors Management Console
G-SCADA is a new generation process control management console in
the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition field.
It differs from other general SCADA applications by the sheer fact
that it is entirely wireless in deployment. This brings tremendous
benefits in terms of cost reduction and rapid deployment.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL
G-SCADA includes the data logging, threshold alerts, device control
and data analysis of various RFID sensors.
In its present form, G-SCADA supports wireless data collection and
analysis from the following devices:
G-THERM for continuous temperature measurement
G-SENSE for measurement of all 4-20mm and 0-5 volt industrial
devices input
G-METER for standard analog electricity meter reading
G-LOG for pulse monitoring
G-FLOW for fluid level and flow rate measurement
For detailed description of the above G-Telemetry RFID Sensors,
please refer to the individual technical data sheet from GT&T
Engineering.
EASE OF USE
G-SCADA is simple to install and use, for instance, in simple drop
and deploy operation mode, a notebook computer hooked up with a
G-PORT radio modem is all that is needed to operate a data
collection and logging centre. This is capable of collecting all
the surrounding devices within the radio coverage range (typically
200 meter indoor to 5 kilometer within line of sight).
FLEXIBILTY
GT&T offers G-SCADA as a standard SCADA application but we are
willing and able to offer customization to include any reasonable
remote data collection from other non-standard devices through
hardware and software interfaces. This services is offered on
mutually agreed terms based on time and material basis.
STANDARDS COMPLIANT
GT&Ts Radio Frequency (GRF) technology complies with the
standards and recommendations of the European (868 MHz) and
American (915 MHz) telecommunications authorities concerning the
use of radio bands reserved for Industrial, Scientific, and Medical
(ISM) applications:
EN300-220 (Europe)
FCC 15.247 and 15.249 (US)
The Mother of all SCADA Applications
G-SCADA is an all-in-one remote wireless device measurement &
control centre. It supports the following list of application and
autonomous G-Telemetry family of RFID Sensors:
Temperature Measurement (G-THERM)
Ambient room temperature can be measured and logged by dropping a
number of G-THERM at the desired location. G-SCADA allows setting
of High & Low Temperature Threshold and provide alert when
these are breached. Historical temperature charts and reports are
standard features of the G-SCADA applications.
4-20 mA and 0-5 volt Industrial Devices (G-SENSE)
Most industrial devices or machinery provide 4-20 mA or 0-5 volt
output, these can be linked to G-SENSE to provide continuous
monitoring without elaborate hardware interfacing. Some example
applications are HVAC, industrial automation machinery control and
oil & gas instrumentations.
RMR (G-METER)
To achieve Remote Meter Reading, standard analog electricity meter
can be fitted with a G-METER module to turn the installed meter
into a wireless electricity usage reported. This is a lower cost
option than to replace all field-installed meter with a new
generation of digital meter. Optic sensor in G-Meter counts the
consumption and the unit wirelessly reports the data to G-SCADA.
Since the usage data can be set to collect at various interval, the
billing cycle and consumption pattern can be varied accordingly to
improve operation efficiency and customer services.
Device ON/OFF Monitoring & Control (G-LOG)
All devices with a pulse output can now be wirelessly monitored and
control with G-LOG as a RF bridge between the end-device and
G-SCADA.
Water Level & Flow Rate Monitoring & Alarm
G-FLOW can be hooked up to Ultrasound based level and flow meter.
Output supported are either through RS-232 digital data output or
4-20 mm current measurement.
Application Summary
All the RFID Sensor devices detailed above act as a wireless bridge
between the end-device or sensor and transmit current data over the
air to a G-PORT radio modem acting as a base station.
These data collected at the server end are then collated, logged
and analyzed to provide an application-centric data view for the
easy and immediate use of complex low level data through a
sophisticated Graphical User Interface.
