HydroCut is an application developed to replace acetylene & LPG gas in thermal cutting process for steel fabrication industries.
In this application, hydrogen gas is used as a fuel that drives the cutting process. Combined with external oxygen supply, the high temperature flame provides a faster & cleaner cut compared to acetylene and LPG gases.
The XCALIBUR hydrogen generator is designed to be hooked up to all type of gas appliances such as hand torch, mechanized cutter and CNC profile cutting machines
Since 1997 we have installed over 300 systems in jewelry, automotive, air-conditioning and steel fabrications industries.
In a typical set-up, the acetylene cylinder is replaced with the XCALIBUR Generator. Multiple torches can be connected to a generator via a gas manifold.
Each generator is equipped with a reservoir for distilled water and modifier that is good for 8 hours of operation.
The modifier is a light alcohol that is added to the flame to increase the heat energy of the hydrogen flame.
De-ionized or distilled water with minimum resistivity of 200 kOhm / cm is required. It is recommended that the water be obtained from a reverse osmosis water filter.
For larger systems, automatic water and modifier refill systems can be provided as an optional extra.
Our system is design be connected to existing torches & cutting tools. This reduces the time and cost of changing over from acetylene gas. All generators has a modular construction and can be hooked up in parallel for larger capacities.
We supply a large number of our products to shipyards, foundry and related steel fabrication industry for use in cutting application. Hydrogen provides a cleaner & faster cut compared to acetylene.
